This magic plant is a type of palm tree that grows wild in the central part of Tahiti Island in the South Pacific. It was bred by a wizard who visited the region long ago. It flaps its head leaves and moves around gaily.
南太平洋、タヒチ島の中央部に自生する、ヤシの木の一種の魔法植物。昔、この地を訪れた魔法使いが、品種改良したもの。頭の葉をパタパタさせて、ひょうきんに動きまわる。

It's a monster with legs and eyeballs on a palm tree. When it closes its leaves, it becomes an Egg-Man in a different color rather than a palm tree.
ヤシの木に足と目玉がついたモンスターだ。もっとも葉を閉じると、ヤシの木というより色違いのエッグマンになる。

The name Yahinotkin is based on the palm tree in Japanese ("ヤシの木", pronounced Yashinoki).
