Kadokawa guidebook

A small, highly intelligent monkey that lives in the forests of central Borneo Island. They were supposed to be friendly to humans and help them climb up the rocky terrain, but the characters didn't appear in the game.
ボルネオ島中央部の森林に生息する、とても知能が高い小型のサル。人間になつきやすく、岩場に登る手伝いをしてくれるはずだったが、やみの中に消えた幻のキャラ。

Origin of the name / 名前の由来

This name comes from "Monchhichi", a soft toy monkey made by Sekiguchi.
名前の由来はセキグチ社製の猿のぬいぐるみ「モンチッチ」。
