Not all items are helpful. This poison is one of them, and it reduces your LIFE by 5. If you're not careful, you might regret it, because it doesn't do much damage.
アイテムはすべて、ありがたいものばかりではない。この毒薬もそのひとつで、LIFEが5減ってしまう。たいしたダメージじゃないからといって、ユダンしていると後悔することになるかも。

JICC guidebook

毒薬 / Poison

A red bottle with a poisonous skull on it. Taking this will cause the poison to spread to your body and reduce LIFE by 5.
毒々しいドクロがついた赤いビン。これを取ると毒が体に回って、LIFEが5減る。

Note

Only the MSX2 version has a treasure chest containing a Poison.
Like regular Poison, it reduces LIFE by 5.
MSX2版のみ毒薬が入った宝箱が存在する。
通常の毒薬と同じくLIFEが5減る。
